Terms & Conditions
Last updated: January 22, 2025
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the Fineline website and the design services provided by Fineline (“Fineline,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not use the website or services.
1. Services
Fineline provides subscription-based design support focused on everyday business materials. Services are delivered according to the plan selected by the client and are subject to the scope, turnaround times, and limitations described on our website.
2. Subscription & Requests
Clients may submit design requests at any time. Work is completed on one active request at a time unless otherwise stated in the selected plan.
Turnaround times are estimates based on request complexity and do not constitute guaranteed delivery deadlines.
3. Ownership of Work
All final design deliverables created for the client are owned by the client upon full payment of the applicable subscription period.
Editable source files are included unless otherwise specified. Fineline retains the right to reuse internal processes, templates, and non-client-specific systems.
Clients confirm that any materials they provide do not infringe on third-party rights.
4. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
Provide accurate information and timely feedback
Ensure they have the rights to any assets supplied
Review deliverables in a reasonable timeframe
Delays in feedback may affect turnaround timelines.
5. Fonts, Images, and Licensing
If a design includes third-party fonts, images, or assets that require a commercial license, the client is responsible for purchasing and maintaining those licenses unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.
Fineline does not transfer third-party licenses unless agreed upon in advance.
6. Revisions and Scope
Revisions are included as part of the subscription, provided they remain within the scope of the original request.
Requests that significantly change direction or add new deliverables may be treated as separate requests.
7. Pausing and Cancellation
Subscriptions are billed monthly unless a longer term is selected.
Clients may pause or cancel their subscription at any time. Cancellation prevents future billing but does not entitle the client to a refund for time already billed.
8. Refunds
Due to the nature of ongoing design services, refunds are not guaranteed and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If a refund is approved, Fineline reserves the right to withhold ownership of work completed during the refunded period.
9. Use of Work for Promotion
Fineline may display completed work in portfolios, on the website, or on social channels unless a non-disclosure agreement is in place.
Clients may request confidentiality in writing before work begins.
10. Prohibited Use
Clients may not use the website or services for unlawful purposes, to infringe on third-party rights, or to compete directly with Fineline.
11. Availability
Fineline strives for consistent availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website or services.
We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control.
12. Limitation of Liability
Fineline is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the client during the most recent billing period.
13. Indemnification
Clients agree to indemnify and hold Fineline harmless from claims arising from misuse of services, supplied materials, or violation of these Terms.
14. Changes to These Terms
Fineline may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
